Future Leadership Summit 2026

Davos, January 2026 – As part of the World Economic Forum week in Davos, Jürgen Muhle, CEO of avanca Energy AG, took part in the Future Leadership Summit 2026. The summit brought together international leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to discuss sustainable transformation, the future of energy supply, the rapid progress of artificial intelligence, and innovative mobility and energy solutions – topics that are closely interlinked and together determine the resilience of future infrastructures.

Focus on the future of energy

Many of the discussions centered on “the future of energy” – in particular, the question of how the energy and mobility sector can be transformed in a sustainable, resilient, and practical manner. The discussions focused on technology-neutral approaches, renewable energy sources, and solutions for areas that are difficult to decarbonize, such as heavy-duty transport, where scalable alternatives play a crucial role.

Another focus was the rapid development of artificial intelligence. Modern AI applications require powerful data centers with correspondingly high energy requirements. Advanced technologies – such as photonic systems from q.ant – are pointing the way to greater efficiency. At the same time, it became clear that the consistent expansion of renewable energy sources and complementary energy carriers is necessary to meet the growing electricity demand of large data centers in the long term.

Automated driving was also discussed as an important component of future mobility solutions—particularly with regard to efficiency gains, emission reductions, and new logistics concepts. For companies such as Paneuropa, this development will be a relevant building block in making transport processes even more sustainable and economical.

REEFUEL® Bio-LNG as a practical solution

REEFUEL® Bio-LNG enables a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions and is particularly suitable for logistics companies that want to operate their fleets in a more climate-friendly manner today – without sacrificing range, performance, or economy. In addition, the renewable energy source can also be used in stationary applications, helping to meet growing energy demands, for example in energy-intensive infrastructures. The summit made it clear that synthetic and biogenic fuels are a central component of a technology-neutral energy mix – both for decarbonizing transport and for supporting a resilient energy supply.

“The discussions in Davos made it clear that the energy transition in heavy-duty transport requires technology-neutral approaches, renewable fuels, and bold implementation. With REEFUEL Bio-LNG, we are already making a concrete contribution to the solution,” said Jürgen Muhle.

Valuable exchange with international decision-makers

Participation in the Future Leadership Summit provided an opportunity to contribute valuable ideas and perspectives from the energy and mobility sector. The exchange with international decision-makers and visionaries underscores the importance of joint innovation work—from AI infrastructure and autonomous driving to renewable, synthetic, and biogenic fuels—for a sustainable and resilient energy future.
