First REEFUEL® Bio-LNG filling station at EDEKA Südwest

Together with EDEKA Südwest, Alternoil GmbH has installed the first REEFUEL® bio-LNG filling station at EDEKAs headquarters in Offenburg – another milestone on the road to climate-friendly retail food delivery logistics.
Twenty-seven bio-LNG trucks are already supplying the region from the Offenburg logistics hub, and by 2030, the entire truck fleet will be converted to REEFUEL bio-LNG. To this end, EDEKA Südwest is investing around €20 million annually in vehicles and infrastructure.
The next REEFUEL filling station is already under construction in St. Ingbert (commissioning: September 2025), with more to follow in Balingen and Heddesheim.
With REEFUEL®, we are already providing heavy-duty transport with a 100% renewable fuel solution – ready for immediate use, economical, and climate-neutral. This enables EDEKA Südwest to save around 20,000 tons of CO₂ annually in heavy goods transport.
